RAP Club (RAP stands for Recreate and Participate) is a community-based social club for people with disabilities aged 18 years and over, run by Crosslinks.
Crosslinks is a not-for-profit, NDIS registered provider. We found that many adults with disabilities expressed a desire in their NDIS plans to make friends, try new things and get out and about in their community. So, we created a great social club!
Activities are chosen by club members at the start of the year. A calendar is prepared that shows the activities selected, the dates, costs and any additional information that will help make the activity a positive experience. Participants have great ideas and new experiences are added to the calendar each year. Popular outings include concerts, mini-golf, visiting a local pub, playing pool or going to community events.
Crosslinks will pick participants up and return them home afterwards, unless alternative arrangements have been made. Participants from all over Perth are welcome but most live in Perth’s eastern suburbs.
We cater for individual needs but usually club members are assisted by our qualified, caring Support Workers on a 1:2 Support Worker to Participant ratio. This has the benefit of fostering friendships as well as reducing travel costs for club members.
RAP Club supports can be paid for from your NDIS budget, if you have funding to access your community. Plus the cost for a RAP Club outing is roughly $35 to $50 depending on the activity, however it may be much cheaper if a free/low cost activity has been chosen by the group. Most outings also involve a meal which incurs a cost.
