Crosslinks is seeking a female housemate to join two men, and one other lady in their Bassendean Home.
24-hour supports are provided by Crosslinks on a 1 to 5 support ratio. This is a super fluid home, with breakout rooms and spaces both inside and outside of the property. It means you can join in the group fun activities or take yourself off for some quiet chill-out time. The kitchen is set in a “U” shape with doors either side living to good size lounge space. The house has separate zones, with the men’s bedrooms in the back of the house, and the women (including your bedroom) situated at the front.
Outside is a beautiful, serene space, with the garden looking onto a nature path, and a large oak tree overlooking a wooden table and chair. The perfect spot for a cool summer’s morning or evening reflection.
The home also has air conditioning, central heating, internet and Netflix included, and a new sensory room.
The Location
The home is within walking distance to Bassendean Shopping Centre, along with easy access to public transport including the train and buses.

1) What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy cooking and baking and currently attend a cookie decorating class. I also love hiking and exploring the Perth Hills with my family. Recently I’ve taken up gardening and started a vegetable patch at home. To unwind I enjoy watching true crime docuseries on Netflix, reading historical fiction and knitting.
2) What’s the best thing about working for Crosslinks?
The best thing about working with Crosslinks is the opportunity to build strong, meaningful relationships with the individuals we support. I find great fulfilment in assisting them to achieve their personal goals. It is incredibly rewarding to see their progress and growth. Additionally, the support from my colleagues and area manager creates a positive and motivating work environment. The ongoing support and constructive feedback I receive from my area manager motivates me to excel and make a significant difference in the lives of those we support. This strong sense of support makes Crosslinks an amazing place to work where I feel valued and encouraged.
3) What is your favourite Crosslink Principle?
My favourite Crosslink’s goal is “We’re stronger together”, because it reflects a core belief I hold as a disability support worker. There is a saying in Irish “Ní neart go cur le chéile” which translates to “there is no strength without unity”. While each individual has unique abilities and needs, our collective efforts and collaboration create a more supportive and empowering environment. This principal emphasises the importance of working together in delivering comprehensive support and achieving the best outcomes for those we support. Together we overcome obstacles and achieve greater success, we are stronger and better together!
1) What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, going for walks and bike rides. Going to the gym, or heading out for a coffee and a bite to eat. I love my sports, AFL and cricket, my football team is Collingwood and East Perth and I love good footy banter with the participants.
2) What’s the best thing about working for Crosslinks?
I’ve been employed with crosslinks for over 7 years, for me the stand out is the family vibes crosslinks bring. You feel valued as an employee, for example there is always opportunity to excel as a support worker with all the training crosslinks provide.
3) What is your favourite Crosslink Principle?
If I had to pick one, I would say “we make it fun”. Being able to come to work and take out the participants for coffee, or to the football or even just jump on a train a go to the city for a weekend breakfast for me is amazing. Going home knowing I made great memories for the participants is what it’s all about!
