To Bunbury, With Love

For Sherry, becoming a grandmother for the very first time was a moment she definitely did not want to miss. Her daughter was expecting her first baby down in Bunbury, and Sherry’s biggest wish was to be there to share it all. The baby shower. The cuddles. The love.

So we made it happen.
Because that’s what we do.

When Sherry first told us how much it meant to be there for her daughter, our Support Workers Amanda and Manisha didn’t hesitate. They packed the car, cranked the tunes, and hit the road south—with Sherry grinning from ear to ear the whole way.

She made it to the baby shower for the precious family time, the hugs and of course, the cake! And just recently, she returned again to meet her brand-new grandchild, safe and snuggled up in their little family bubble.

It’s hard to describe how much that meant to her—but we’ll try. There was laughter. There were photos. There were moments Sherry will remember forever.

At Crosslinks, we know that being supported doesn’t just mean help around the house or a lift to the shops. It’s also about enabling people to show up for their loved ones—especially for the big stuff.

For Sherry it meant holding her first grandchild in her arms.
And that’s something none of us will ever forget.
